Soffits and Cladding

One of the most vulnerable parts of any building, especially where timber is concerned, is around the roofline. All too often, problems with access can make the roof and flat roofing a difficult area to carry out inspections and important maintenance.

The result is that timbers most prone to rot and decay are neglected. If left unchecked, the implications, both structurally and financially, can be serious. Our fascias, soffits and bargeboards provide a simple, cost-effective and practical long-term answer. The ideal replacement for timber.

We can remove your old boards, cut back to “sound” timber, and rebuild from the good timbers, giving a long lasting solution without the need for painting.

We can also fit “dry verge ends” that will help prevent your tiles from lifting on exposed gable ends.


Guttering is designed to gather the rain water running off your roof, and channel it away from the building. Without guttering the rain would run straight down the walls soaking the brickwork, and fall onto the ground close to the building potentially working its way into the foundations. 

Neglected guttering can eventually lose its effectiveness through becoming clogged with debris such as leaves, silt washed off the roof, bird nests and more. If clogging becomes too acute, blockages are likely, water cannot run freely along the gutter, and will overflow and leak out into the roof and/or down the walls.

The weight of the debris, sludge and trapped water can cause the guttering to pull away from its mountings on the roof fascia boards. Expensive repairs are the net result.

New guttering is much lighter than many of the old cast iron gutters and pipes.It requires no painting and will look good for years to come.
